Curlie Regime

Shampoo: once or twice a week using Live Clean Bali Shampoo.

Conditioner: with
Yes to Carrots, Live Clean Bali Conditioner Herbal Essence Hello Hydration

Deep Conditioner: I try to do it every two weeks, using a mixture of Yes to Carrots, olive oil, avocado oil and coconut oil.

Leave-in conditioner: I love Kimmaytube’s Leave-in mixture and I swear by it. The detangling that I achieve with Kinky Curly Knot Today (KCKT) is bar none the best I’ve experienced. I see no reason to switch it up.

Styler: After applying my leave-in I usually section my hair apply my whipped shea butter mixture and twist or flat twist my hair. After it’s dry I take my twists out using coconut oil to reduce frizz.

You may ask why not leave the twists in? Well the truth is I personally do not feel like my hair is long enough yet to rock that look. Perhaps it will be for winter, because I’m all about protective styling.

  1. I need to find some avocado oil to try and definitely would like to make some of my own whipped shea butter!

    1. Hello Jan, Thanks for the comment. If you are new to the city I would try Honey Fig which is at Yonge and Sheppard, they have Kinky Curly products and an amazing selection of other products as well. They also offer samples of almost anything you want to try before purchasing. You can also visit your local black hair beauty supply stores. This where I go for mine, since I find Honey Fig can be a little pricey at times. I hope this helps.

    2. Also, curl ambassadors near spadina and harbord have kinky curly. Delineation MAY also have it ( i find they tend to have things cheaper), i haven't noticed it there but i never looked.
